The Hernando Jazz Society is a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving, performing, and perpetuating all forms of jazz including swing and music from the Great American Songbook. Under its Scholarship and Music Assistance program each year gives away at least three awards to the private study of instrumental or voice lessons and / or assist in covering costs.
The 2025 Scholarship Program will award one scholarship for $1,000.00. The winner will perform at the May session. First Sunday in May at the Wellington Club House.
